November Daffodils for Hope

Quote

Thank you to everyone that came out to join us last Sunday, November 19th in Columbus Park to celebrate Hope!

Over 25 members of the Hope community came to plant 550 bulbs in about 90 minutes. Our own Doreen Gallo baked amazing chocolate chip cookies and brownies that were still warm and we all shared apple cider on the chilly afternoon!

This year’s daffodil planting is generously organized by the DUMBO Neighborhood Alliance and NY4Parks.

Thank you all for coming together to remember Hope and create opportunities for social impact young leaders and organizations in Brooklyn.

Much love,

Hope’s friends and family

HopeRun2017_social

Join us this year at our fifth annual Run for Hope on Sunday April 23rd, 2017.

The Run for Hope 5K Run/Walk is a celebration of the life and work of Hope Reichbach, an activist and civic leader born and raised in Brooklyn. Before she passed away in 2011, Hope worked on the campaign and in the office of Council Member Stephen Levin and worked tirelessly to make Brooklyn a better place for everybody. This event will bring together local vendors, musicians, and members of Hope’s community to raise money and awareness for the Hope Reichbach Fund, which provides summer Fellowships to college students pursuing careers in social justice.
